About Us

Canyon Lake Ski Club is based in the city of Canyon Lake, a private gated community in Southern California. In addition to a water ski slalom course and jump facility, the community’s amenities include a 383-acre lake, 18-hole golf course, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, equestrian center, baseball fields, a lakeside campground, and more than twenty parks and beaches.

Canyon Lake Ski Club is represented by a diverse group of individuals. The demographics include male and female skiers from ages under 10 to over 90 with skill levels ranging from novice to national champion. Many of our members are native Californians while others are from as far away as Europe and South America. Our professions and experience cover the entire spectrum. The common denominator of this group is our passion for the sport and the camaraderie it brings. As one of the first organized clubs in Canyon Lake, it has worked since 1969 to earn a solid reputation within our community through service and facility development. The Canyon Lake Ski Club has also established itself as one of the nation’s most successful water ski clubs through the hosting of sanctioned tournaments and the production of 3-event water ski officials as well as champions and record holders at the Regional and National levels.

The primary purpose of the club is to promote the sport of water skiing. Activities of the club include hosting ski tournaments; maintaining and beautifying the slalom course and ski jump areas; conducting community ski events; hosting annual events such as Breakfast with Santa and Polar Bear Day; and in keeping with the non-profit theme, donating funds and volunteering time for the continued improvement of Canyon Lake.
